Q: Levels won't load or I see a blank screen
A: Go to Settings → Apps → Word Journeys → Clear Data, then reopen the app. This forces the word database to rebuild. This issue was resolved in v1.3.0.
Q: How do lives work?
A: You start with 10 lives. Each failed level costs 1 life. Lives regenerate over time (1 life every 30 minutes, up to 10). You can also trade 1,000 coins or 3 diamonds for 1 life, or earn bonus lives by completing levels without hints.
Q: How do I use items during a level?
A: The items bar appears below the word grid during gameplay. If you own items (purchased from the Store), they're free to use and show a ×N count. Otherwise, items cost coins to use directly: Add a Guess (200 coins), Remove a Letter (150 coins), Definition (300 coins).
Q: What are the difficulty levels?
A: Easy = 4-letter words (6 guesses), Regular = 5-letter words (6 guesses), Hard = 6-letter words (6 guesses). Each difficulty has its own level progression.
Q: How do I earn coins and diamonds?
A: Coins are earned by completing levels. Harder levels and faster completions earn more coins. Diamonds can be purchased from the Store or earned through special achievements.
Q: Can I replay completed levels?
A: Yes! Tap any completed level on the Level Select screen. Replays don't cost lives and don't award additional rewards.
Q: How do I change settings?
A: Tap the ⚙️ settings icon on the home screen. You can adjust music/sound volumes, toggle dark mode, enable high contrast tiles, and manage notifications.
